- Well... Alias PowerAnimator V7 is what I use, but if you don't feel
- like selling your house or whatever to buy a decent SGI to go with
- that, I believe there is a plug-in for LightWave now that outputs
- depth-maps. Not sure about the format though - Alias outputs an array
- of floats, which is quite handy. I would guess the LW plugin does the
- same.

- Other than that, I know of no cheap raytracer that supports
- depth-map output, which is kind of strange since it's a very useful
- feature.
